“Use your Head” as some experts say when referring to identifying food sensitivities, is condescending to those with multiple food sensitivities or Lipedema. In my experience, sensitivities are not “That simple”.
Body positivity is a term that is frequently used in communities like ours. People talk about it, promote it and seek to develop it but what exactly is it? Are we all on the same page when we use the term, “Body Positivity,” or does it mean different things to different people?
When Debby Pellitier of Vibration Guide had the opportunity to hook up my FaceBook Lipedema & Food Sensitivities: Take Control of Your Lipedema group with Fitness Brands Testing for a 250 massage gun giveaway, I continued to be skeptical. “Just another gimmick and fad for Lipedema”, I thought, rolling my eyes. After having researched and then dealt with Food Sensitivities for as long as I have, I have to wonder if what I did yesterday was just plain stupid, or “calculated”. Calculated seems a platitude at this point!
